I recently finished reading this book. I highly recommend every parent read it. I'll say that again, I highly recommend that every parent read this book. Yes, it's that helpful. However, if you can't find the time to read the book, I have supplied a brief summary of each chapter HERE. Three things need to be taken into consideration when utilizing this resource:
1. I wrote the first four chapters in a journal-like summary. This is a different format than the remaining 12 chapters.
2. I am certain there are errors in the document. Please be merciful to me. I was typing quickly thinking that it was going to be a personal resource, not one I would share. So, keep that in mind.
3. Another book that I encourage any parent to read along with this one is called : Withhold Not Correction by Bruce Ray. In ways that Shepherding a Child's Heart (SCH) is weak, this book is strong. It is well written and a quick read. You may find it to be even more helpful than SCH.
With that said, I hope you find both of these books helpful in thinking through biblical parenting.
